Nubia after launching the M2 Lite earlier this month is now all set to bring the N1 Lite in India on Monday, May 22, just couple of days later. ZTE-owned company started teasing the launch of a new Nubia smartphone with front LED flash on Twitter from Friday, but we have learnt from official sources within the company that it is bringing the entry-level Nubia N1 Lite to India on May 22. They had announced it at Mobile World Congress this year.
To recap on its specs, the Nubia N1 lite packs a 5.5-inch HD 720p IPS Full Lamination display. At its core, the device has a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor coupled with Mali-T720 graphics unit, 2 gigs RAM and 16 gigs of native memory space. The storage can be expanded further using a microSD card. Booting on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Nubia N1 lite flaunts an 8MP main shooter with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash, which is a must-have these days. Up front, there is a 5MP selfie shooter with LED flash, which is a rage since a year.
The Nubia N1 lite was announced first in February and on Friday, Nubia India on twitter posted a teaser image with a caption that reads, “Let there be Lite!â€. Innovative caption indeed.
Specs Explained:
Let’s get straight to the point, the Nubia N1 Lite packs a 5.5-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD IPS display, which is great at this price point and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which might not be upgradeable to Android O, but we never know. The dual-SIM N1 Lite will come with 4G Voice over LTE support in India.
Since it will be a low end entry level smartphone for Nubia, the processor on N1 Lite is a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. The handset gets 16 GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD (up to 128GB).
The Nubia N1 Lite packs a 3000mAh battery, which might last a day on average use. It is expected to come in one color option with Golden highlights. More color options are definitely loved by customers and is something that Nubia might consider in the future as more and more OEM’s targeting low-end users attract them through various color options.
The other things that this guy has on board the Nubia N1 lite include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity features. Android 6.0 Marshmallow also features tons of nice improvements specially to run Android without lag. The update has been great for the low end and mid-range phones. The dual SIM smartphone gets the power from a 3000mAh battery that should be sufficient to provide enough backup to the device. The Nubia N1 lite has been unveiled in Gold but the availability in India will be announced on Monday upon which we will update you. So, stay tuned for more!
